It’s fun coming here. I enjoy my time here. I enjoy all the support staff. They’re perfectionists. They do the job well. They make sure you’re happy with the work and the completion of it and they double-check, triple-check and it’s been a great experience. The quality of care is a thousand percent. From all the support staff, from all the reminders and calls and follow-up, it’s been a very, very good experience.

I’ve been coming here for almost four years. I had Invisaligns done. I’ve had caps done, fillings, basically a whole new set of teeth and it’s gonna be another 30 years before I need any work besides some minor touch-ups. She has got great bedside manners so we have become acquaintances and friends and we’ve enjoyed talking about our families and our activities that we do. So on a personal level, I’ve gotten to know her and it’s been a very good experience.

For Invisalign, I wasn’t even sure I was going to do Invisalign, but I did get a great consultation from the doctor. She explained everything to me and I thought it would be the best path. It took a little bit longer than I thought, but I enjoyed the process. You just have to be consistent with your Invisalign. Well, it made it easy for me. I got my set of retainers that I needed or the Invisalign trays. So the process was easy. I knew how long to wear them. I just followed what they told me to do.

Wearing Invisalign was a benefit. I’m not wearing traditional braces. I’m in business. People didn’t even notice that I had them on unless I said something to them, and I enjoyed every bit of it. Now I’m done and I’m just wearing retainers. Well, I do notice that I do smile a lot more. And people have noticed in pictures and when I’m meeting people in person that I do smile a lot more, which is a great benefit. Well, it’s never too late to straighten your teeth out. I had four children, I spent money on them to get their teeth straight, and I finally decided it was my time to do that, and I’m very happy that I took that time and invested the time. It’s well worth it.

There were crowns anywhere from 15 to 30 years old. They needed to be replaced and I’m glad that I got them all replaced. But the process was painless and it took a little time to do it, but it was great results. Well, they’re great communicators and they did have a plan of action for me. So we took it one step at a time and we completed a section and we just moved forward with our plan.

It took a couple of years to do, but they worked with me and my insurance company and everything to get the project complete. Yeah, if you need to get older crowns replaced, I would do it and get it done. If you have new issues to take care of, get it done. It does help a lot with your smile and also with your comfort of your teeth. My recommendation is to move forward. They do an excellent job. Don’t fear it and get it done.

I love coming to Bonita Family Dental because of the atmosphere and of the staff members. They’re always so welcoming and it feels like they are able to accommodate my needs so much because coming in here, I had a fear like all people do. And it was just very heartwarming to me, Dr. Hegde, she was able to put my worries at ease, my anxiety, everything that comes with going to a doctor for that matter. And it’s just been a good ride actually.

Yeah, absolutely. I think it’s a vibe, and whenever I walk in, I know Sophie, she’s a friendly receptionist, she’s always smiling at me, you know, saying hi to me and that just makes me feel like part of the family. I’ve never met a doctor like her. She is always caring, she listens of course, and she always provides solutions. And she’s just very professional and I know for a fact that she is always striving for perfection. It’s amazing to feel heard and to feel wanted and to always be welcome here no matter what. And honestly, even if I move somewhere else out of state or overseas, I would definitely fly back here to see Dr. Hegde and her staff for sure because it’s just, I can’t see myself anywhere else to be honest.

My decision to come here specifically was because of my incident when I was very little. Being, you know, a little kid you don’t know what you’re doing and I went swimming and I dove into the deep end of the pool and I hurt my two front teeth. It took me 22 years to decide to do something about it and it wasn’t until I got married to my now husband. I really want to feel beautiful and I want to have the confidence to smile in my pictures because they’re really important and my husband was like, “You just gotta do what you gotta do.” And the doctor was really on it. She was like, “Okay. You know what? This is very important, the most important day of your life. We’re gonna do it. Trust me.” And I was like, “I’m in good hands.” So it was amazing. With my smile after everything that has happened at Bonita Family Dental I feel like a different person, like, it’s been impeccable. The moment, like, I came home after my veneers were done I kept looking at myself in the mirror and I kept smiling. It was just, like, a freeing feeling, basically, like, I can smile so much more like a thousand percent. It makes me very emotional to think, like, I waited 22 years for this moment just to be able to smile in front of my family and friends and it’s been great, excellent.

I decided to get Invisalign because I noticed, like, my teeth weren’t as straight, like whenever I would brush my teeth or floss at home, and I noticed, like, my bottom row was a little crooked. Dr. Hegde recommended to get Invisalign just to, you know, boost up, you know, the look of your smile, and it didn’t take me much to be convinced. So it’s amazing and I’m so impressed with the results right now with Invisalign because it’s, like, again, very unnoticeable and it’s very comfortable, that’s what I’m all about. For dental procedures, it can be kinda like, ‘Ooh, will I get a canker sore or not, or will I have toothaches or not?” But for me, I was wearing it on a consistent basis. I don’t even feel it, to be honest, like, whenever I wear it, but there is a schedule where if you’re consistent you will see the results for sure. If you’re looking for a procedure like Invisalign that is less painful, not so much work, like, personally, if you’re home, if you’re at work, if you’re out with your friends or family, it’s perfect for you because you can put it in, put it out. It’s definitely worthwhile to get Invisalign.

I love coming to the practice for the service, you know, I feel like I’m treated like family. Everybody’s very friendly and professional. They always accommodate, you know, my schedule, so that’s very, very convenient. She’s very friendly, very friendly. Makes you feel right at home here. Shares a lot of her personal stories with us. I think the quality is excellent, you know, I’m pretty happy, very happy with all the procedures that I’ve had. They’ve always been very professional and I’m very satisfied with it. I’ve said that they have some of the best dental hygienist that I’ve ever been around. They’re very gentle and they give you a lot of good advice. They care, you know, that’s my feeling. I’ve been coming here a long time, ever since they took over the business. They have improved it dramatically, I mean, you can see just the service and the technology they brought into the dental office. I’m pretty impressed.

I had most of my front teeth had severe wear because of grinding. I had based on the recommendation of Dr. Hegde, she recommended that I replaced the majority of my front teeth. So based on that recommendation, I first went through a course of Invisalign to get my mouth in shape to be able to accept the new crowns. And then after that, I had quite a few teeth replaced basically, quite a few crowns. The service was very, very good. I mean, in terms of letting me know what to expect and what needed to be replaced and the length of time. I would say highly recommended, especially the Invisalign service here is great. They did an excellent job. I mean, they feel like… they don’t feel like how they feel. They feel like my own teeth.

I thought it would be more comfortable for me, more convenient in terms of dental hygiene. Well, it takes commitment on your part, right? I mean, it is as good as you keep up with wearing the Invisalign, and I was pretty religious about following the treatment and following up with the exchange of, you know, the retainers. For me, I had to change them every two weeks and I always received them promptly. Every six months I would come here. They’d give me the new batch of retainers and after that it was up to me to wear the retainers the amount of time. You’re supposed to wear them every day, you know? I’m happy with my smile. I get a lot of compliments. You know, it builds your self-esteem. You know, I was a little bit conscious about my smile because of the wear on my teeth. Very satisfied, very happy with the way it turned out, and I would do it all over again. I should have done it earlier, actually, in my life. I waited a long time. It happened to be during, you know, a time period where I could do it without much inconvenience. I used to travel some. Don’t be afraid. Get a consultation. See what’s the best fit for you and get it done.

Everybody here is so warm and giving and kind and they wanna know what’s going on in your life. Everybody here in the staff checks every time you come in. Is there anything going on? Do we need to know about anything? The care here is so amazing I brought my mom in and she was having all kinds of problems with the dentist she was with and I said, “Mom, you need to go to Dr. Hegde.”

She’s great. She laughs and jokes with you. She remembers what’s going on in your life. She notices stuff. I mean, your body may tense up and she’s like, “Okay. What did I hit? What did I do?” And it’s like, “It’s okay.” And she’s like, “No, it’s not. You’re moving funny.”

It’s like she clicks in or tunes in with your energy or something. And when I had to have all my teeth pulled, I was really concerned of having to take painkillers. And so she recommended a homeopath to add to the Tylenol, Motrin and I was taking and it was amazing. It’s like a family. You just come in and everybody takes care of you, just like they would their own family.

I had to take a medication that’s since been recalled, and it ate the enamel off my teeth. I had never had a filling, a cavity, or anything until I was 35. In five years, my teeth were gone. I moved from Northern California down here and found her, and she was like, “Ooh, this is not good.” I had abscesses on the roots. I mean, it was just nasty. Dr. Hegde won’t let you leave until it’s right. She won’t. She is a perfectionist. It took two years to get my dentures right. She had to custom-make my dentures because I have a very heavy bite. I broke three temporary dentures. That doesn’t happen unless you’ve got a really heavy bite and she was like, ‘Okay. We’re just going to have to make you custom dentures,” and she did. I haven’t had a problem in three years.

And she was there. That was the thing. I mean, I would do something late at night, call the office, next morning, I was in, and it was fixed. I mean, it was just, I don’t know other dentists that are willing to do that. So it was amazing. And then it took many trials of trying to figure out how to put dentures on me because I kept breaking the temporary ones but she wasn’t going to give up. She never gave up, and it took about two years from the time I had them pulled to the time I have teeth. And I can actually… she asked me at one point, she said, “So what’s the first meal you wanna really have when you have teeth?” I looked at her, I said, “I would love to have a steak.” So she gave me a gift card to get a steak. That was amazing.
